There are companies that offer organic lawn care. These services are not as widely available as the standard fertilizer companies, so you will have to do some searching. But they are out there. They often use a liquid fertilizer that is made from leaves and water mixed together that gets broken down over time. It is a murky looking concoction, but it certainly is a good fertilizer option. The weed control is the harder part. Chemicals simply get to the weeds faster and get them gone in a hurry. The natural remedies for weeds in the turf just are not as fast acting or long lasting. That is the trade off between natural weed control and the old school methods that have been on the market forever.
Get Perfect Grass: DIY
If you can’t find an organic fertilizer company in your area, you have no choice, but to do it yourself. That is if you are determined to get a nice stand of green grass with no chemicals bought over the counter. Just remember that you have to devote time to the process. You won’t be able to spray some “organic tea” whenever you have a free moment. That won’t be good enough. You have to have a set schedule and routine. You also need to have some leaves available to mix with water in order to get the liquid fertilizer ready. If you have no trees then it is still easy to get some leaves. Unwanted leaves are everywhere in the fall of the year. People will be glad to have you remove them from their curbside or off their lawn. They will even pay you to do it!
