They say first impressions last long and the Husqvarna Hu725awd BBC leaves a rather impressive one at that. Unlike front wheel driven motors, this no push lawn mower uses all-wheel drive meaning power distribution happens between all four wheels. The result of such a modern marvel is less pushing and more towing behind. Both side handles help manage the speed and it really doesn’t matter which one you push. Going up a slope of less than 30 degree is more tagging along behind because this mower goes straight up and down a raised surface without wincing. With other self propelled mowers you can’t go straight up and down, it is more of a side-to-side navigation. Add to this the BBC system and you can stop the mower blades momentarily to clear up debris or empty the bag on the fly. As for starting the motor, it purrs to life in a couple of tries so no worries there either.
Cut Quality
Side discharge, bag disposal all work well and as expected. No matter the height, you always get a perfect cut. It even handles tough grass types well enough. However, mulching was a bit of a disappointment as it tends to leave small clumps of grass untouched, especially while going uphill. I found reducing the cut height and speed a tad bit helps a lot. So, remember to mulch slower than usual.
Height Adjustment
Adjusting height on the Husqvarna HU725AWD/BBC self propelled lawn mower is accomplished with the single lever near the rear wheels. It has sufficient selections for most users although I found the lowest settings to scrap the ground clean, not something you want unless you plan on refreshing your lawn entirely.

Maintenance
The one area where I believe Husqvarna could have done all of us a huge favor is by replacing the plastic components with more sturdy carbon body or metal. Having said that, the plastic is of a durable nature and doesn’t seem like cracking under sunlight or extended usage. If it does though, the long warranty covers every possible complication the mower can have.
Cost Effectiveness
At less than $500, blessed with a large engine, all-wheel drive and the BBC mechanism, this no push mower is cost effective. If you have a large lawn and want something dependable, easy to use and capable of going straight up a hill then this is an affordable quick solution.
